Yesterday I turned the big 3-1. I am officially
in my 30's. So far ... not feeling too bad. Give me a couple weeks, then I'll get back to ya.

My mom and dad called yesterday to wish me a happy birthday and ask what I wanted to do. I told them not too much and don't worry about it because it's just another day, no biggie. No sooner had I said that, my dad stated, Don't say stuff like that, you're starting to sound like your mother! Have I become my mother? In some ways yes. And in others, not so much. I think my birthdays have become a little lax in the celebratory area but 1) I just had a baby and 2) I just had a baby!! By this time next year, I will be back to crazy Jenn again, out celebrating like I just turned 21 and acting stupid (maybe not too stupid). For right now, being at home and doing the routine that we have settled into is fine with me.
P.S. I did, however, get my birthday dinner courtesy of my parents. It wasn't at a restaurant or fast food place. It was a nice home cooked dinner of Egg Rolls a-la-daddy, Fried Rice and Chicken Stir Fry. Mmm mmmm! It was soo good!
